Rev. Gary Weber, volunteer chaplain for the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department.
Background: Weber, 50, has served as a pastor for 25 years. Last summer he quit his job of 12 years as pastor of the Valley Church of Christ in order to get time off to rest.
In addition to his volunteer work as a chaplain, he helps out when needed at the church he attends in Post Falls, Real Life Ministries.
He received a master of divinity degree from Bear Valley School of Biblical Studies in 1976 and also holds graduate degrees from the Sunset School of Preaching and Abilene Christian University.
Personal: Weber and his wife, Sandi, will celebrate their 31st anniversary in June. They have two grown children and three grandchildren. Sandi owns and operates a scrapbooking business, Creative Memories.
