Youth Job Applications Ready

Local youths get their first chance to apply for summer positions with the city’s recreation department at its third annual Summer Job Fair, Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at City Hall, 408 N. Spokane St.

Positions include openings for lifeguards, youth baseball and summer camp leaders and spring soccer officials.

Staff from the recreation department will be present to answer questions. Applicants are asked to bring proof of any CPR, first aid or life saving training.

The first consideration of applicants will be on May 1.

Applications will be available in City Hall after the fair. Summer camp positions begin June 9. Lifeguards start training May 22.
