Chamber Music Program Scheduled

Soprano Elizabeth Kluegel will perform in a program of 18th-century chamber music titled “Strolling in Vienna” at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Kluegel, a Metropolitan Opera Council national finalist associate, replaces soprano Julie Newell, who is recuperating from jaw surgery.

The concert, presented by the Junior Chamber Artists program, will be held at the Holy Names Music Center’s McNally Recital Hall, 3910 W. Custer Drive.

Members of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra and JCA director Aida Ribeiro will also perform. The program features Schubert’s “Trout Quintet” and Mozart’s “Kegelstat Trio.” Kluegel will be featured on Schubert’s “Shepherd on the Rock.”

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children, available in advance at Auntie’s Bookstore or by calling 326-9516.
