Lost Lab Partners Make Discovery
Paul LaCombe ran into Leo Collins at a recent wine tasting downtown.

* Several readers wonder: Are others noticing a lot of double-yolk eggs lately? Should we be alarmed?
* Overheard (little boys playing with squirt-guns): “Arrrrgh. I’m gut-shot.”

* Slice answers: “Funny you should mention West Siders and slugs,” wrote Rebecca Stiner, a Washington State University student from Moclips on the Washington coast (the real coast).
“I’ve been a sculpture student for three semesters. My main subject matter is slugs — not just any slugs but Banana Slugs! These are great creatures indigenous to our damp forests. I can’t help but be partial to them as I am one for the underdog.”

* Denise Masiello speaks to the attention-starved youths driving cars with super-loud sound systems: “My annoyance with your booming bass is matched only by the satisfaction I will feel in 30 years when you are all sporting hearing aids.”
