Pizza Driver Says Man Pointed Gun
A Post Falls pizza delivery man told police another man pointed a semi-automatic pistol at him while he was trying to deliver pizzas in Hayden on Friday night.
David Scott, 28, said he was looking for a home while delivering a Godfather’s pizza near Kyler Avenue and Reed Road. He was spotlighting homes to check on addresses, he told Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies.
A man pulled up in a black car and followed Scott as he left the area, reports said.
At a stop sign, the man pulled his car in front of Scott and parked it. Scott said he exited his vehicle and met the man in front of the cars, reports said.
The man pulled a black semi-automatic pistol and placed it about 2 inches from Scott’s forehead, reports said.
The man asked Scott why he was spotlighting his home. Scott said he was a pizza delivery driver. The man said he was sorry, got in his car and left, reports said.
Deputies contacted the man, whose name was not released. The man said he didn’t have a gun, but did follow Scott to find out why he was spotlighting his house, reports said.
The man was not arrested.
