Father, Son Hurt In Collision

A father and son were injured Wednesday night in a head-on collision in Whitman County, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Ryan L. Piche, 17, of Spokane, was driving south on U.S. Highway 195 near Albion Road when he lost control of his 1979 Dodge Ram on a patch of ice. He veered into the northbound lane, striking a 1981 Chevrolet Celebrity driven by Gregory A. Fenton, 33, of Pullman.

About a minute later, a pickup driven by Robert R. Glaspie, 80, of Pomeroy, Wash., struck Fenton’s vehicle.

Fenton was taken to Memorial Hospital in Pullman with leg, arm and rib injuries. He was listed in good condition Thursday evening.

Fenton’s father, Roderick Fenton, was a passenger in Gregory Fenton’s vehicle. Roderick Fenton was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston with head injuries. He was listed in serious condition Thursday evening.

Piche and Glaspie were uninjured.
