Library’S ‘Kiwanis Corner’ Honors Strain

From Staff Reports

The Post Falls Kiwanis Club and the Post Falls Public Library will unveil a plaque Thursday at 1:15 p.m. to formally inaugurate the library’s “Kiwanis Corner.”

The plaque also will honor the memory of Kiwanis member Donald Strain.

The corner is a bay window area on the library’s north side. The Kiwanis club has sponsored the trees and lights that decorate the popular reading spot.

Strain was the club representative who selected the lamps and trees for the area. He also coordinated the project. Strain was a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Marines.

Friends of Strain are especially invited to attend.

For more information, contact Joe Reiss at the library, 773-1506.
