Cda Breezes Past Moscow

Erica Hauck and Dani Bielec combined for 11 steals Tuesday and Coeur d’Alene ran away with a 50-21 win at Moscow in the Border League.

The Vikings finished with 21 steals. Bielec added five of the team’s 14 assists. Freshman Laurel Duplessis added eight rebounds for the Vikings.

The Bengals (3-1, 3-1) outscored the visiting Eagles 23-7 at the line to earn the win.

WV had four players foul out. Shannon Groh scored 19 for the Eagles, who hit five 3-pointers.

The Miners converted 35 turnovers into 20 points and defeated the visiting Warriors.

Wallace made 10 of 23 from the field in the second half.

Freshman Raven George totaled 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Knights over the Eagles at Plummer.

Kaela Moore added 15 points and four steals for Lakeside. Jackie Poole scored all but three of the Eagles’ points.

Ben Woodard scored eight of his 17 points in the third quarter Tuesday to help Cheney polish off the visiting Post Falls Trojans 63-55 in a Border League opener.

Woodard’s big quarter allowed the Blackhawks to build a 16-point lead heading into fourth quarter.

PF senior Bryan Myers scored a game-high 18.

The Badgers held the visiting Miners to two points in the third quarter and roared back from a 12-point halftime deficit.

Adam Vogl and Matt Behrens combined for 17 rebounds for the Badgers. Wallace’s Corey Miller scored 18.

The Tigers won their opener against the visiting Vikings. No details were reported.
