$8,000 Grant To Help Parenting Program

North Idaho College Head Start on Friday received an $8,000 grant from the Fred Meyer Foundation for North Idaho Parents as Teachers.

North Idaho Parents as Teachers is a free, voluntary early childhood education program for parents of children age 5 and under.

The grant will allow the parenting program to serve 10 more Kootenai County families.

The Fred Meyer Foundation helps nonprofit organizations dedicated to children, families and communities in areas served by Fred Meyer Stores.
