Analysis

In Seattle’s last 14 games, Mike Holmgren’s club is a Coslet-esque 3-11. The reasons for this year’s futility are simple: The offense is No. 27 in the NFL, the defense No. 29. Of those units, it’s the defense that appears to be getting weaker as opponents pound away at the heart of the line. Last year, Oakland averaged 164 yards rushing and nearly 400 total yards in two meetings with Seattle. Those figures might climb today. Seattle, meanwhile, faces a defense much like Indianapolis’ of a week ago. Oakland’s pass coverage is suspect. It all adds up to a virtual replay of last Sunday. Raiders 31, Seahawks 20.
