Carl Ford Mullan, Idaho
Graveside inurnment for Carl Oscar Ford, 80, will be held at a later date. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ford, who was born in Mullan, died Sunday.
He grew up and graduated from Mullan High School in 1938 and served with the Army during World War II.
Mr. Ford was a lifelong Silver Valley resident and worked as an electrician for the Galena and Lucky Friday mines, before retiring in 1985.
He married Eleanor Mandell in 1944.
He was a member of Wallace Elks Lodge and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Mullan. He also was a past member of the Mullan Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Eleanor; two daughters, Cyndi Elwood and Mary Jacobson, both of Mullan; three sons, Joel Ford of Clarkston, Wash., Keith Ford of Juliaetta, Idaho, and Tim Ford of Louisiana; a sister, Linea Ford of Mullan; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mullan Volunteer Fire Department.
Jonathan Bauck Rathdrum, Idaho
Visitation for Jonathan Henry Bauck, 22, will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Bauck, who was born in Pendleton, Ore., was killed Saturday in a one-vehicle rollover accident near Bayview, Idaho.
He moved to the Rathdrum area in 1988 and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1997. He worked at various jobs in the area.
He was active in outdoor recreation and also was a coach with the Spirit Lake Wrestling Club.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Curtis and Cecil Bauck of Echo, Ore.; his mother and stepfather, Rebecca and Jim Self of Rathdrum; a brother, Jeremy Bauck of Las Vegas; a sister, Tineke Bauck of Syracuse, N.Y.; his grandparents and numerous other relatives.

Ruth (Bovine) Steele Lewiston
Graveside memorial service for Ruth I. (Bovine) Steele, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Freeze Cemetery near Potlatch, Idaho. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Steele, who was born in Antioch, Neb., died Monday.
Her family moved to Oregon in 1935 from Nebraska.
She graduated from high school in 1939 in Springfield, Ore.
In 1944 she married John Steele. She was a homemaker.
They lived in Portland and Eugene, Ore., before moving to Orofino, Idaho, in 1954.
Mrs. Steele and her family moved to Potlatch in 1962. Her husband died in 1991, and she moved to Lewiston in 1997.
Survivors include a son, Steven Steele of Kennewick; a daughter, Natalee Thompson of Lewiston; a sister, Mary Epstein of Chicago; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Robert Skiles Moscow, Idaho
Service for Robert L. Skiles, 77, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow.
Mr. Skiles, who was born in Denver, died Tuesday.
He grew up and attended schools in Denver and in 1944 married Rosemary Loser.
He served as a captain in the 10th Mountain Division, 5th Army in Italy and Germany during World War II.
After his military service he returned to Colorado and received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Colorado State University. He then received a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
He worked as the director of the Postharvest Institute for Perishables at the University of Idaho for many years, retiring in 1986.
Mr. Skiles enjoyed photography and watercolor painting, and won several awards for both. He was a member of the Moscow Elks Lodge, Lions Club and American Legion, the Watercolor Group and the Idaho Native Plant Society.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Skiles of Reno, Nev., and Gary Skiles of Harleysville, Pa.; two daughters, Debra Skiles of San Jose, Calif., and Cynthia (Skiles) Morady of Stockton, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Wilbur `Web’ Owens Tacoma
Memorial service for Wilbur C. “Web” Owens, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Princeton (Idaho) Church of the Nazarene. Inurnment will follow at Freeze Cemetery near Potlatch, Idaho. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Owen, a former Potlatch and Princeton resident, who was born in Orofino, Idaho, died Saturday.
In 1947 he married Elaine Cochrane. They lived in Potlatch and moved to Princeton in 1960.
He worked as a stacker and fork-lift operator at the Potlatch mill for the Potlatch Forest Inc., for 33 years. He retired in 1982.
Mr. Owens raised cattle and farmed hay after he retired from the mill.
He moved to Tacoma in 1998.
Mr. Owens was a member of the Potlatch Senior Citizens.
His wife died in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Ron Owens of Tacoma and Jack Owens of Beaverton, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Sharon Vessey of De Land, Fla.; a sister, Vivian West of Otis, Ore.; a brother, Lester Owens of Onaway, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beatrice Crabtree Spokane
No service will be held for Beatrice E. Crabtree, 84, at her request. Inurnment will be at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Rathdrum, Idaho. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Crabtree died Tuesday. She was born in Naples, Idaho.
She worked as a sales associate for Newberry’s in the University City Mall and retired in 1978.
Her husband, Harold, died in 1980.
Mrs. Crabtree is survived by two sisters, Marie Lemley of Greenacres and Ione Wolfe of Lincoln City, Ore.

Colleen (Crawford) White Bonners Ferry, Idaho
No service will be held for Colleen M. White, 73, at her request. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. White, who was born in Butte, Mont., died Oct. 15.
She was a longtime Boundary County resident and had worked as a cook and jailer at the Boundary County Sheriff’s office. She had also worked in the meat department at The Bargain Giant store in Sandpoint. Mrs. White was homemaker and restored old dolls for her extensive collection.
She enjoyed auctions, sewing and cooking.
She was a member of The Rebekkahs, Country Woman’s Club, and served as past Madam President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She also was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, the Girl Scouts and was a volunteer for the Boundary County Historical Museum.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Doug; four daughters, Nancy Rosco of Omak, Wash., Patricia Huboff of Las Vegas, Joanne Miller of Winter Park, Colo., and Wendy McElroy of Spokane; four sons, Mike Crawford of Spokane, Jack Crawford of Puyallup, Wash., Ralph Crawford of Salt Lake City and Rick Crawford of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Pamela Reoch and Sandra Wilder, both of Bonners Ferry; a stepson, Doug White of Bonners Ferry; four brothers, Westley Harvey of Tekoa, Wash., Glen and Elmer Harvey, both of Spokane, and Doug Harvey of Plummer, Idaho; a sister, Betty Carver of Sioux City, Iowa; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Clara (Jasper) Wallace Spokane
Service for Clara I. (Jasper) Wallace, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Pinecrest Cemetery in Sandpoint.
Mrs. Wallace, a 32-year Spokane resident, died Oct. 19. She was born in Roseberry, Idaho.
She graduated in 1928 from Roseberry High School.
From 1951 to 1968, she lived in Sandpoint where she worked as a cook for the school district, and as a supervisor for the Spokane Daily Chronicle for seven years.
Mrs. Wallace was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church.
Her husband, Lige, died in 1966.
Survivors include two sons, George Wallace of Spokane and John Wallace of Las Vegas; a daughter, Mary Martin of Spokane; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
George Strother Dalton Gardens, Idaho
No service will be held for George Edward Strother, 75. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Strother, who was born in Kokomo, Miss., died Sunday.
He served in the Army Air Corps for four years during and following World War II.
Mr. Strother worked as a superintendent for the drilling fields of the Baroid Division for NL Industries for 33 years. He retired in 1981.
After retirement he and his wife, Luella, moved to LaClede, Idaho. In 1991 they moved to Dalton Gardens.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; two sons, James Strother of Spokane and George Strother of Wasilla, Alaska; and four grandchildren.
