Ex-Gop Chairman Gets Washington Post
Ron McMurray, the former Idaho Republican Party chairman who failed in his bid for the GOP’s 1st District congressional nomination in May, has been named director of the state’s Washington, D.C., trade office.
Gov. Dirk Kempthorne announced the appointment on Thursday. McMurray, a former Port of Lewiston director, succeeds Jeremy Chou, who joined a Washington law firm on Monday.
McMurray finished third to Lt. Gov. Butch Otter and Idaho Family Forum co-founder Dennis Mansfield for the Republican congressional nomination in Idaho last spring.
