Analysis

Despite throwing four interceptions, Jon Kitna retained his job, mainly because Brock Huard didn’t apply much heat with his so-so relief work. Kitna should generate respectable numbers against the Rams, who gave up 424 yards, 307 via the pass against Denver. The question is, can Seattle keep Rams receivers from wearing out the new rug at Husky Stadium? Az-Zahir Hakim, Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce divvied up 15 receptions last week. Running back Marshall Faulk had four catches for 100 yards. After an abbreviated week of preparation following Monday’s thriller, Rams might not be at their best, but they won’t have to be.
