Sandpoint Chamber Gets New Director

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce has a new executive director.

Eldonna Gossett was one of eight people interviewed by the chamber’s board of directors, said chamber President Travis Kaul. More than 30 people applied for the job, he said.

Gossett will start Oct. 16. She’ll leave her current position as executive director of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce, where she’s served since 1993.

Gossett serves on the Region 2 tourism committee of the North Central Idaho Travel Association and performs in the Idaho-Washington Concert Chorale. She’s also an ex-officio member of the Latah Economic Development Council.

Her organizational skills, prior management experience, understanding of how chambers of commerce work and her knowledge of Idaho made Gossett the top candidate, Kaul said.
