Analysis

Seattle will find the Saints easier to defend than the St. Louis Rams’ track team. The downside is that New Orleans won’t be as generous defensively as the Rams. The Saints lead the NFL in total defense, which is a tad misleading because they’ve faced offensively challenged Detroit and San Diego. Still, the Saints have quality personnel on defense. Seattle’s chore is keeping Ricky Williams chugging along at his 3-yards-per-carry clip and hemming mobile quarterback Jeff Blake in the pocket. Not sure why the Seahawks are favored by so much (6), but this should be their first win. Seattle 20, Saints 16.
