Athletics 4, Orioles 3: At Oakland, Calif., Jermaine Dye hit a tying two-run single in the sixth and Adam Melhuse followed with a go-ahead single, leading the Athletics over former teammate Miguel Tejada and Baltimore.

Angels 9, Royals 4: At Anaheim, Calif., Bartolo Colon (13-9) allowed just two singles through the first seven innings and Vladimir Guerrero and Jose Guillen homered on consecutive pitches to lead the Angels past Kansas City.
