Calendar Signing – Local celebrities Patty Duke, Mike Pearce, Joanie and Dennis Franz, Ellen Travolta and Jack Bannon will be on hand from 2:30-3:30 p.m. to autograph the “Literary Classics Calendar,” to benefit the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation’s efforts to raise money for a new library, in the Coeur d’Alene Resort Plaza Shops. North Idaho College/College of Southern Idaho Game – Sponsored by Lewis-Clark State College with the women’s game at 5:30 p.m. and men’s at 7:30 p.m. at NIC in the Christianson Gymnasium. NIC students will have a chance to enter a shoot out in the men’s halftime to win $250 toward tuition at LCSC-CdA.
“Denim to Diamonds” – Gala evening to benefit the Fry Foundation, which supports equipment needs at Boundary Community Hospital, with social time beginning at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and live auction at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Boundary County Fairgrounds in the main hall. $26.

Specialized Needs Recreation third annual Christmas party – from noon-2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 521 Lakeside Ave. Suggested donation is $3 per person or $8 for a family for a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. D.C. Kids selling Krispy Kreme Donuts – 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Rathdrum Lions Club, Dave Smith’s in Coeur d’Alene, River City Framing in Post Falls and Rite-Aide in Hayden. The fund-raising event will help the kids go to Washington, D.C., and New York this spring. Information: 773-1030.

Holiday Light Show – continues through Jan. 3. More than a million and a half lights are on display and are best viewed from a Fantasy Cruise to the North Pole.
