Potlatch knocks off Kootenai

Ryan Larson scored nine points to lead a balanced attack and Potlatch beat Kootenai 42-26 in the first round of the Troy Tournament. Tony Kraack led Kootenai with 10 points.

In the other tournament game, the host Trojans got 28 points from Aaron Smith in a 59-45 win over Colton. Kyle Schultheis and Seth Robertson scored 19 apiece for previously-unbeaten Colton.

Girls

Troy 56, Colton 40: Jessica Hokanson scored 16 points as Troy beat Colton in the first round of the Troy Tournament. Sammie Druffel scored 11 points to lead Colton. In the other tournament game, Nadia Posey scored 17 points to lead Potlatch past Kootenai 49-38. Cassie Scheffelmarer scored 16 to lead Kootenai.
