Cycling

July 3-4, 24-25, August 28-29: Women’s mountain bike camps offered at Fernie Alpine Resort, B.C. Two-day camps include fitness, basic bike repair and maintenance and instruction in technical skills, cross-country and downhill riding. Beginners will be July 3-4, beginner to intermediate will be July 24-25 and intermediate to advanced will be Aug. 28-29. Cost is $120. Info: 1-866-FERNIE.

Football

July 7: Seattle Seahawks free four-hour football clinic at North Central High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for children 8-15 years old. Coached by Seahawks wide receiver and Pro Bowler Alex Bannister and local high school coaches. Info: Garrett Thiemens (206)381-7902.

Golf

Sign up: SPRC junior golf tournaments. July 19, Downriver, 7:30 a.m.; July 26, Esmeralda, 1:30 p.m.; Aug. 10, Qualchan, 7:30 a.m.; Aug. 30, Indian Canyon, 1:30 p.m. Cost of $20 includes green fees, balls, tees, lunch and prizes. Indian Canyon costs $45. Info or registration: 625-6200.

Lawn bowling

Sign up: Lawn bowling six days a week through October just south of Witter Pool on Mission. Monday, Wednesday and Friday bowling is at 7 p.m. and at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Paddling

July 17-18: Pend Oreille Poker Paddle two-day event beginning at Usk, Wash. on the Pend Oreille River and ending in Ione, Wash. Choices of overnight accommodations at resorts or campgrounds. Paddle 32 miles on the river. Prizes in all categories and best overall poker hand wins a canoe. Cost is $25. Info: (509)447-4812.

Soccer

August 6-8: Seattle Soccer Cup open for men and women for levels open over 30, 40 and 50. Coed and co-rec will have competitive and recreational brackets. Register by July 14. Info: www.seattlesoccercup.com.

Softball

July 17: Benefit coed softball tournament for Special Olympics Idaho at Stub Meyer Park in Rathdrum. This event is during Rathdrum days and a street dance with a live band will follow the one-day tournament. Entry fee is $100. Info: (208)699-1773

July 12-Aug. 6: Spokane Sports Association fall league registration. Men’s modified will be Monday, Thursday and Friday. Men’s slowpitch on Wednesdays, coed modified on Saturday and Sunday and coed slowpitch on Sunday Info: (509)483-4653.

July 17-18: Northwest Regional Masters Track and Field Championships at Mooberry Track, Pullman. Men and women ages 19 and older, members of USA Track and Field are eligible to compete.
