Come here, Loverboy

Some of you might remember them. In fact, it’s pretty safe to say that those of you with acid wash and “Van Halen Kicks Ass” T-shirts in your past (or present) remember them fondly.

But for the rest of society, Loverboy is a typical huge ‘80s band, eternally doomed along with its ilk to tread water in Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell movie soundtrack purgatory.

But after nearly 25 years in the business, the rockers will bring the noise to the Big Easy Concert House on Aug. 26. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and go on sale today at 10 a.m. Tickets are available through TicketsWest at www.ticketswest.com or (509) 325-SEAT.

J-Kwon and Cassidy

First, there was Nelly. Then along came Chingy. Now it’s all J-Kwon.

Yes, J-Kwon, the next heavy hitter of the St. Louis hip-pop crossovers , is coming to the Big Easy on Aug. 11. You guessed it – he wants urrrybody in the club to get “Tipsy.”

J-Kwon will be sharing the stage with Philadelphia rapper Cassidy.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $29.50 and go on sale today at 10 a.m. through TicketsWest.
