Mica’s Joe Kopp continued his AMA Progressive Insurance Flat Track hot streak, but lost a bit of ground in the championship chase.

Kopp earned his third consecutive runner-up finish Saturday night in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The bad news was that he finished behind points leader Chris Carr in a main event shortened from 25 laps to 16 due to rain. Kopp trails Carr 142-128 heading into Saturday’s race in Hagerstown, Pa.
