Marvin and Ethel Smith will celebrate their 50th wedding at the Red Lion Templin’s Hotel, Post Falls, Aug. 21.

Hosts for the event will be their children and spouses: Jeff and Patricia Smith, Otis Orchards; Steven and Jodi Vessels, Spokane Valley; and Mark Smith, Pullman.

The couple were married Aug. 21, 1954, in Everett, Mass. They have five grandchildren.
