Cardinals 8, Pirates 1: At Pittsburgh, Albert Pujols homered and had two doubles among his five hits and drove in three runs, Jeff Suppan pitched into the eighth inning and St. Louis routed the Pirates.
Mets 4, Phillies 1 (10): At Philadelphia, Todd Zeile hit a tying solo homer in the eighth and a go-ahead RBI single in the 10th to lead New York past the Phillies.
Reds 7, Marlins 6 (10): At Miami, Adam Dunn homered twice, including a tiebreaking drive in the 10th inning, and Ken Griffey Jr. homered for the third time in five games to lead Cincinnati over Florida.
Astros 5, Cubs 3: At Chicago, pinch-hitter Michael Lamb had a go-ahead double in the eighth inning as Houston topped the Cubs. Todd Hollandsworth, Todd Walker and Moises Alou hit solo homers for Chicago.
Braves 7, Expos 6: At Atlanta, rookie Nick Green and J.D. Drew hit consecutive homers in the ninth inning, and the Braves rallied for a victory over Montreal after being shut down by Tony Armas Jr. in his first start of the season.
Diamondbacks 6, Giants 5: At Phoenix, Luis Gonzalez singled home Scott Hairston in the ninth inning to give Arizona a victory over San Francisco, stopping the Giants’ 10-game winning streak. Steve Finley homered twice for Arizona.
Rockies 7, Padres 1: At San Diego, Charles Johnson doubled three times and drove in four runs to help Colorado beat the Padres for it first back-to-back road wins of this season.
Brewers 4, Dodgers 1: At Los Angeles, Doug Davis (4-4) pitched six scoreless innings on three days’ rest as Milwaukee topped the Dodgers.
