Casino plans massive garage sale

WORLEY, Idaho — The Coeur d’Alene Casino will hold a garage sale this weekend in preparation for a “grand reopening” next week.

About 10 semi-trailer truckloads of hotel furniture, kitchen equipment and other items will be available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Casino spokesman Bob Bostwick is billing the event as possibly “the largest garage sale in Inland Northwest history.”

The Coeur d’Alene Casino is located on U.S. Highway 95 in Worley.

On Monday and Tuesday, the casino will celebrate the completion of a $15 million expansion and remodel with free food and entertainment.

The casino has added a new wing to the hotel, remodeled the HighMountain Buffet, added the Sweetgrass Café, added 400 new gaming machines in 30,000 square feet of new casino space and built the new Nighthawk Lounge.
