Capitol Hill staffer chronicles sexploits on blog

WASHINGTON – An entry-level staffer in Sen. Mike DeWine’s Washington office titillated Capitol Hill this month with an explicit blog that detailed her performing sexual favors for money — until her blog was ended this week.

Calling herself “Washingtonienne” the staffer described, though only with initials:

• A married man who pays for sex.

• A guy known as “threesome dude.”

• And an office boyfriend with whom she is engaged in an “office scandal.”

The blog’s existence was first reported in Wonkette.com, an inside-the-Beltway blog itself.

“All I can tell you is someone brought it to our attention, and we’re looking into it,” said DeWine’s communications director, Mike Dawson.

Asked if the employee had been fired, Dawson said, “Not yet.”

The exploits described in the blog might not be true. The last entry was Tuesday: “I just took a long lunch with X and made a quick $400. When I returned to the office, I heard that my boss was asking about my whereabouts. Loser.”

The staff assistant said she was given a raise recently and now earns $25,000. DeWine has about 40 employees in Washington spread out over several offices.

“Most of my living expenses are thankfully subsidized by a few generous older gentlemen,” Washingtonienne wrote Friday. “I’m sure I’m not the only one who makes money on the side this way: How can anybody live on $25K/year?”

In another entry she wrote:” I woke up with an awful hangover and barfed up my Pizza Mart. (I’m losing weight!)”

The blog had been posted at blogspot at www.blogger.com but is no longer available there.

Another Washington chronicle Swamp City ( www.swamp-city.com), first reported that she works for DeWine.
