Hazel Woodworth

Garfield, Wash.

Memorial graveside inurnment for Hazel G. Woodworth, 59, will be held in the spring. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Woodworth died Oct. 20. She was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and attended Central Valley schools.

In 1968 she married Harold Woodworth in Spokane, and the couple made their home in Garfield. In 1972 the couple moved to North Bend, Wash., and in 1975 returned to Garfield.

Mrs. Woodworth worked as a waitress for a few years, and in 1979 she started working in food service at Washington State University. She was the food service lead worker and worked for WSU for 25 years. She also served as chairperson for staff planning and was a safety representative for central production.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Moscow, Idaho, and the Ladow Grange in Garfield.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael Woodworth of Sedro Woolley, Wash.; a daughter, Karen Woltering of Garfield; a stepson, Richard Woodworth of Priest River, Idaho; a stepdaughter, Theresa Woodworth of Los Angeles; her mother, Lois McAndrews of Spokane; two sisters, Sandy Roullier of Spokane and Terry Roberts of Spangle; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Garfield-Farmington Emergency Medical Services and Fire Department, Shriners Hospital for Children or the American Cancer Society.

Victor Bruderer

Spokane Valley

No service will be held for Victor Bruderer, 83. Spokane Cremation and Burial Service handled the arrangements.

Mr. Bruderer, a longtime Spokane Valley resident, died Tuesday. He was born in Logan, Utah.

He served in the Air Force in World War II and owned Vic’s Excavating in Otis Orchards.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Coeur d’Alene.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Kathryn; three children, Beverly Evans of Pocatello, Idaho, Leo Bruderer of Omaha, Neb., and Susan Davis of Athol, Idaho; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.

Raymond Porter

Spokane

No service will be held for Raymond C. Porter, 41. Neptune Society handled the arrangements.

Mr. Porter, who was born in Arlington, Texas, died Oct. 21. He was a resident of Spokane 20 years.

He served in the Air Force and worked as a truck driver for various companies for 16 years.

His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two sons, Kyle and Jake Porter, and two daughters, Sadie and Claira Porter, all of Spokane; his parents, Gary and Carole Porter, both of Elko, Nev.; and three sisters, Goldie Campbell of Spokane, and Marsha Porter and Carrie Ann Dunn, both of Elko.

Kathleen Reich

Mead

Memorial service for Kathleen Reich, 61, will be today at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Reich, who died Wednesday, was born in Tomahawk, Wis. She was a resident of Spokane County for 23 years.

She graduated from high school in Tomahawk and was a homemaker.

Her hobbies included sewing and crafts.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Thomas; two sons, Jason and Christopher Reich, both of Spokane; a daughter, Patricia Kannberg of Mead; her mother, Jean Rose of Tomahawk; two brothers, Tim Rose of Park Falls, Wis., and Jon Rose of Stevens Point, Wis.; two sisters, Mary Rose of Bend, Ore., and Patty Poshtar of Tomahawk; and six grandchildren.

Walter Price

Spokane

No service will be held for Walter M. Price, 72. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Price, a longtime resident of Spokane, died Oct. 2. He was born in Joliet, Ill.

He graduated from Alton (Ill.) High School in 1950 and attended Western Washington University.

He served in the Navy from 1952 to 1960 as a hospital corpsman.

Mr. Price worked as a school counselor in the Poulsbo (Wash.) School District, retiring in 1996. He had also owned a restaurant in Kingston, Wash.

He enjoyed baseball and fishing and was a basketball referee.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Price and Kim Schneider, both of Spokane; two sons, Walter Price Jr. of Cupertino, Calif., and Todd Price of Bonney Lake, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
