Baseball

Sign up: American Legion Baseball and the Warehouse Baseball Academy will start the American Legion winter workouts with the Bandits organization on Nov. 17, the Northstars on Nov. 18, the Cannons on Nov. 22 and the Blue Devils on Nov. 23. All workouts will be at the Warehouse at N. 800 Hamilton. Cost is $100 per player. All Legion baseball players are welcome. Call Sean Flikke at 484-2461 for times and more information.

Basketball

Sign up: Women’s basketball Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. and men’s basketball Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. for ages 16 and older at Downtown YMCA. Free to members. Cost of $3 a night for non-members. Info: Wendy Jackson 838-3577 ext. 125.

Cycling

Continuing: Inland Northwest Cyclocross Series with races through Nov. 21. Nov. 13 is at Riverside State Park, Nov. 14 is at Valley Mission Park, Nov. 20 is at North Idaho College and Nov. 21 is at Plantes Ferry Park. Races start at noon. Cost is $18. Info: www.emdesports.com or 326-6983.

Dodgeball

Running

Skiing/Snowboarding

Nov. 22-Dec. 16: Preseason ski/snowboard conditioning class offered at U-District Physical Therapy for ages 10 and older. Sessions are Monday and Thursday from 6-7 p.m. Cost is $80 for eight group sessions. Info: Brian at 458-7686.

Nov: 14: Snow Show, features area ski resort information and season-pass photo sessions plus vendors, seminars and demonstrations and appearance by Olympic moguls silver medalist Shannon Bahrke, 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. at Spokane Convention Center.

Nov. 14: Warren Miller’s “Impact,” the filmmaker’s latest, 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., Spokane Opera House.

Volleyball

Nov. 18-23: Spokane Velocity Volleyball Club tryouts. 16U on Thursday from 5:30 pm-7:30 p.m.; Friday, 11U and 12U from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; 13U and 14U from 7-9 p.m. at Sports USA Complex; 10U on Nov. 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Evergreen Middle School. Cost is $15. Info: Crystal Clark 928-8432.
