CdA Mines plans share offering
COEUR d’ALENE _ Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. is planning an offering of 25 million shares of common stock to raise money for new mining projects.
The Idaho silver miner will file a preliminary prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Coeur officials announced Friday.
The money raised through the offering will pay for exploration and development at the Cerro Bayo and Martha mines in Latin America; an expansion program at the Galena Mine in Idaho’s Silver Valley; and more drilling at the Kensington gold project in Alaska.
Coeur’s stock closed at $4.99 per share Friday, a 2.5 percent drop from Thursday’s closing price of $5.12 per share.
