Election Day a success all around

On Election Day, 87 percent of Kootenai County registered voters celebrated democracy by casting their ballots. Congratulations and thank you to Kootenai County Clerk Dan English and Chief Election Officer Dede Beard for carrying out the huge logistical accomplishment of managing and counting nearly 45,000 cast ballots. English’s office impartially assisted all political parties, handicapped voters, the elderly and first-time voters with courtesy and patience. Their professionalism reflects great credit upon county government, their offices and the election process.
