The UK’s Virgin Group Ltd. has launched a discount-price music subscription service and new online music store offering 1 million tracks for purchase, download and transferring to portable players. Pricing its all-you-can-listen-to monthly service at $7.99, Virgin is undercutting similar offerings from RealNetworks and Apple Computer by 20 percent.
