Planes in air races

Spectators gathered at the Spokane Airport at Parkwater in September 1927 to see some of the planes that were entered in the National Air Races. The airport, later renamed Felts Field, was the headquarters for the races, which attracted legendary aviation figures such as Wiley Post, Charles Lindbergh and Jimmie Doolittle.
