Sometimes, it’s all in the timing

Craig and Vicki Leuthold seem like they have an idyllic existence as owners of Maryhill Winery, near Goldendale, Wash. But their current success has been a recipe of timing, location and hard work, the former Spokane residents say.

The Leutholds got into the wine business as the industry in Washington state was growing rapidly and winning international acclaim. They now run one of the state’s “destination wineries,” with a concert amphitheater and other amenities.
