Police effort worthwhile
The law enforcement class at North Idaho College was invited to participate as role players in the Coeur d’Alene Police Department’s recent “active shooter” training at Lakes Middle School. Several of my students and I were there for the training exercise.
First I would like to say that the type of training being conducted is very timely and was well prepared and thorough. Second, all of the officers, both trainers and participants, were exemplary in their attitude, demeanor and performance during the training session. The department personnel were models for my students to emulate. As a former law enforcement officer, I was proud of these officers and to know that the Coeur d’Alene Police Department is proactive, professional in their training and has quality personnel.
I extend my congratulations to all the officers involved for an invaluable training session and a thank you for allowing us to participate. I learned a lot and was privileged to be a part of this worthwhile event.
