Twins 9, Orioles 0: At Baltimore, Matt LeCroy homered to cap a seven-run second inning that carried Minnesota past the Orioles.

White Sox 5, Rangers 2: At Arlington, Texas, Carlos Lee hit a tiebreaking RBI single in Chicago’s four-run sixth inning, and the White Sox beat Texas.

Blue Jays 1, Angels 0: At Anaheim, Calif., Justin Miller allowed two hits over eight innings to outpitch Kelvim Escobar and lead Toronto over the Angels.

Red Sox 8, Athletics 3: At Oakland, Calif., Pedro Martinez pitched six innings of two-hit ball and Boston completed a three game sweep of the A’s.

Royals at Tigers, ppd: At Detroit, the Kansas City-Detroit game was postponed by rain. The teams will play a doubleheader today.

Devil Rays at Yankees. ppd: At New York, the Tampa Bay-New York game was postponed because of rain. One game will be made up today in a doubleheader.
