CROP Walk will combat hunger

April is Hunger Awareness Month, and the Interfaith Council is marching area Christians toward fighting hunger both locally and globally. This year’s CROP Walk is Sunday at Martin Centre on the Gonzaga University campus, 502 E. Boone Ave.

Twenty-five percent of the proceeds will benefit local charities: Second Harvest Food Bank, the Interfaith Hospitality Network, Mid-City Concerns Meals on Wheels and Spokane Valley Meals on Wheels. Participants are asked to bring nonperishable food items to donate to Second Harvest.
