Last week, it was written that GNL baseball still operated under a two-division format. Actually, with the departure of Newport to the 1A ranks, the league has gone back to one division. This makes for a great three-team race among first-place Pullman (8-1, 10-1) and second-place Chewelah (8-2, 10-3) and Lakeside-Nine Mile Falls (8-2, 9-3). On Friday, Lakeside travels to Pullman for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. On Tuesday, Pullman is host to Chewelah for a single game beginning at 4 p.m.
