Indians 6, Tigers 5: Ronnie Belliard hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the eighth inning, lifting Cleveland to a victory over the Tigers and a three-game series sweep at Detroit.

Rangers 9, Orioles 3: Chris Young pitched seven shutout innings to earn his first victory in more than a month and Texas beat Baltimore at Arlington, Texas.

Athletics 11, Royals 0: Dan Haren pitched seven shutout innings to extend his winning streak to nine games and Oakland sent the Royals to their 10th straight loss, at Kansas City, Mo.

Red Sox 11, Twins 7: Manny Ramirez went 4 for 4 with a homer and three RBIs and Boston beat the Twins to avoid a three-game sweep at Minneapolis.
