NCAA needs to get a grip

The NCAA needs to check itself. Their recent ruling to ban offensive or aggressive Native American names from postseason play is ridiculous. Many of these institutions have permission from the tribes to use those names and it continues to bring respect to each particular tribal member. I think not even acknowledging the tribes puts the Natives further away from our minds and their forgotten courageous past. I’m Caucasian and am married to a Native. My wife is not offended by the Spokane Indians, nor would I be offended if it were the Spokane Whiteys. Although Spokane Honkys would be amusing. This is the NCAA appeasing a small percentage of the Native population to make itself appear wholesome. Heck, they’re so intelligent and great that they’re headquarters are in INDIANapolis, INDIANa. Nice move NCAA.
