Dickenson plans to be at reunion

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Former University of Montana football star Dave Dickenson, now with the CFL’s British Columbia Lions, plans to be in Montana next month for a reunion of the school’s NCAA Division I-AA national championship team.

“I haven’t been back to see a game live in Missoula since 1997,” Dickenson told the Great Falls Tribune.

Dickenson had three All-American seasons with the Montana Grizzlies. The highlight came in 1995 when he guided the team to a 13-2 record and a title-game victory over Marshall. Dickenson won the Walter Payton Award as the top football player in I-AA.
