Indians 4, Blue Jays 1: At Toronto, Casey Blake and Aaron Boone homered, and Jake Westbrook pitched into the seventh inning to lead surging Cleveland to a victory over the Blue Jays.

Devil Rays 2, Angels 1: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Mark Hendrickson extended his personal winning streak to four games and Aubrey Huff hit a two-run homer to help Tampa Bay sweep Los Angeles.

Yankees 10, Royals 3: At New York, Jason Giambi broke out of a 4-for-38 slump with a pair of home runs and drove in seven runs, leading the Yankees to a victory and a sweep of their weekend series with Kansas City.

Athletics 10, Orioles 3: At Baltimore, Danny Haren pitched seven innings of three-hit ball, and Oakland hit three home runs in its fifth straight victory, a rout of the Orioles.

Rangers 2, Twins 1: At Arlington, Texas, pinch-hitter Hank Blalock’s infield single drove in the winning run in the ninth inning, giving Texas a victory over Minnesota.

Red Sox 11, Tigers 3: At Boston, David Wells gave Boston’s beleaguered pitching staff seven strong innings and the Red Sox had their third consecutive offensive outburst against Detroit.

National League

Cardinals 6, Nationals 0: At Washington, Cal Eldred made his first start since 2001 and combined with four St. Louis relievers to stretch Washington’s scoring drought to 21 innings, leading the Cardinals past the Nationals.

Braves 5, Brewers 2: At Milwaukee, Andruw Jones hit two home runs, increasing his major league-leading total to 42, and Tim Hudson pitched his second straight complete game to lead Atlanta over the Brewers.

Reds 7, Pirates 2: At Pittsburgh, Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 534th career home run to tie Jimmie Foxx for 13th place on the all-time list, and Cincinnati beat the Pirates for its fourth straight win.

Cubs 14, Marlins 3: At Chicago, Carlos Zambrano scattered six hits over eight innings, and the Cubs scored eight runs in the seventh to beat Florida and snap a three-game losing streak.

Padres 4, Rockies 3: At San Diego, Ryan Klesko drove in three runs and Pedro Astacio pitched seven solid innings to lead the Padres over Colorado, handing Jamey Wright his N.L.-leading 16th loss.

Giants 4, Mets 1: At San Francisco, Pedro Feliz hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the sixth and J.T. Snow also connected in the inning, rallying the Giants to help Noah Lowry win his fifth straight start with a victory over New York.

Dodgers 1, Astros 0: At Los Angeles, Roger Clemens again got no run support from Houston, and Jeff Weaver and Duaner Sanchez combined on an eight-hitter to lead the Dodgers to a victory.

Diamondbacks 10, Phillies 5: At Phoenix, Shawn Green hit a grand slam and Arizona won its first series in nearly a month by beating Philadelphia.
