Trojans seal IEL win at line

Jenney McVeigh and Jordan Schoeing both hit 4 of 4 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter Thursday to lift Post Falls to a 40-30 win over visiting Lewiston in Inland Empire League girls basketball.

The Trojans led 27-26 after three quarters. Heather Arnone led PF (3-0, 2-0) with 13 points. Brittney Devorak of the Bengals (2-3, 0-3) scored a game-high 15.

Also in the IEL, Coeur d’Alene’s game at Moscow was postponed because of snow and rescheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday.

Boys basketball

Post Falls’ non-leaguer at Bonners Ferry was postponed and will be made up Jan. 7. … St. Maries’ non-league home game against Troy was postponed. No makeup date was announced.
