Matt Palmer hit four shots from 3-point range and finished with 21 points as Coeur d’Alene went 11 for 19 from behind the arc in a 68-38 non-league boys win over Meridian Saturday in Boise.

John Latorre also hit three 3-pointers and had 17 points as the Vikings (1-2) forced 18 Meridian turnovers to just six for Coeur d’Alene.

In other non-league action, Nick Barklay went 14 for 14 from the free-throw line and finished with 16 points as Centennial upended Lake City (1-2) 53-46 in Boise. Jarom Taylor led Lake City with 12 points, while Cory Kreighbaum and Ty Stoddard added 11 points apiece. … Post Falls and Lewis and Clark traded baskets for the final 30 seconds, but in the end, the Trojans (1-0) rode the 21 points of Brandon Haas to a 63-61 win over the host Tigers (0-3) at LC. Kyle Turpin added 19 for Post Falls. Jenna DeLong added seven points and seven rebounds for the Vikings (3-2, 1-0). The Bears (1-2, 1-1) were led by Kelsey Taylor, who went 9 for 13 from the floor and finished with 19 points.
