The end was near when this young female arrived at Ferret Rescue of North Idaho. Mia’s owners moved out of their house and left their ferret, dog and cat to fend for themselves. She was malnourished and used to being alone in a tiny cage all day long. It didn’t take long to fatten her up and find out that she loves to play ball, thus the name “Mia,” after soccer star Mia Hamm.
