Sandpoint man, son killed in crash
The two Sandpoint victims of a fatal weekend car accident in Montana have been identified as Mark LoMonaco, 39, and his son, Jeff, 13, according to the Associated Press.
The father and son were passengers in a car believed to be driven by Arthur Harris, 17, also of Sandpoint, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. None of the occupants was wearing seat belts and all were ejected when the car rolled on Interstate 15 near Lima, Mont., at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, said Sgt. Art Collins of the highway patrol.
Harris was listed in serious condition at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
According to Collins, Harris was driving south on the interstate and, for an unknown reason, drifted off the left side of the roadway. He jerked the wheel to the right, and then overcorrected to the left, Collins said. The car rolled three times. Collins said there was no indication that alcohol was involved.
