Connery’s neighbors are both shaken and stirred

Sean Connery’s downstairs neighbor has filed a $30 million lawsuit against the debonaire James Bond actor. Dr. Burton Sultan claims Connery is a “bully” who’s trying to force his family out of the townhouse they share on Manhattan’s East Side.

Court papers claim Connery’s ongoing renovations of the top half of the townhouse are a source of constant noise, foul fumes and water leaks that have damaged the Sultans’ collection of Victorian and early 20th century wicker furniture.

The lawsuit also says Connery is harassing the Sultans “by playing loud music at all hours and stomping about.”

When one of Sultans’ daughters knocked on his door to complain, the suit says, “Connery’s appearance and behavior was that of a rude, foul-mouthed, fat old man.

“Cursing and otherwise using indecent language … (he) refused to lower the noise and slammed the door in her face.”

He shouldn’t have made all that racket

A homeless man accused of stalking tennis star Anna Kournikova was ordered Wednesday to stay at least 1,000 feet away from her if he gets out of jail.

William Lepeska, detained in a psychiatric unit on $250,000 bond, faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of two counts of battery on police officers, resisting arrest and burglary. He also faces misdemeanor charges of stalking, indecent exposure and criminal mischief.

Lepeska, 40, admitted swimming nude across Biscayne Bay, Fla., bound for Kournikova’s $5 million estate, Jan. 30. He was arrested when he turned up on the pool deck at the wrong house and started yelling, “Anna! Save me!”

Naomi almost crossed the line

British supermodel Naomi Campbell says she nearly self-destructed from her use of cocaine.

In an interview set to air on ABC’s “Primetime Live” tonight, Campbell, 34, says she first tried cocaine when she was 24 but stopped before “something would have happened – some self-destructive thing.

“I never did drugs before I would go on the runway because I knew that’s when I was an active addict,” she adds. “I knew that they could see my eyes.”

Paris’ phone list a best-celler

Paris Hilton says she feels “horrible” that someone hacked into her cell phone and posted her friends’ phone numbers and e-mail addresses on the Internet.

“I want to apologize to all my friends and family,” she tells US Weekly. “I don’t know why this stuff always happens to me, but I wish it wouldn’t anymore.”

Some of her friends have been besieged with calls and e-mails. Says actress Lindsay Lohan: “It’s crazy. I even got an e-mail from someone pretending to be Hugh Hefner.”

A profitable ‘Fear’ of death

Sales of “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” and other favorites by Hunter S. Thompson have soared since the “gonzo” journalist killed himself Sunday.

“Fear and Loathing” was No. 15 on Amazon.com as of Wednesday, and publisher Vintage Books has ordered a “significant” reprinting.
