Sandpoint’s annual Winter Carnival Parade of Lights set for tonight
SANDPOINT – Sandpoint will celebrate winter with the annual Winter Carnival Parade of Lights tonight.
And the fun will continue all weekend with various events around town and at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
Sandpoint Citizen of the Year Dan Young will lead the 5 p.m. parade as it makes two loops through downtown starting at the Jeff Jones Town Square. Afterward, the Beach House Restaurant will have a bonfire on the City Beach near the Edgewater Resort.
Saturday there’s a pancake feed, chili cook-off and a whole list of events at the Bonner County Fairgrounds ranging from snowshoe races and a buffalo chip toss to hay rides and a golf shot contest.
Eichardt’s Pub is having a K-9 keg pull Sunday. People can sign up their dogs for the 50-yard race, which involves harnessing your canine to an empty keg.
