Shadow ends season on road

The Spokane Shadow will conclude their soccer season this weekend with a pair of road games.

On Friday, the Shadow will face the in-state rival Yakima Reds before concluding the season on Sunday in Salem, Ore., against the Premier Development League Northwest Division-champion Cascade Surge.

College women’s soccer

The University of Idaho women’s soccer team has been picked to finish seventh in the Western Athletic Conference in a poll of the conference coaches. Hawaii was picked to finish first. Idaho will enter its first season in the WAC under first-year head coach Pete Showler.
