Revival in Medical Lake

Medical Lake Baptist Church, 864 N. Gramhan Lane, is hosting a revival Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., continuing Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The revival services will feature evangelist Bill Sturm.

Gospel concert

Annie Herring and Matthew Ward will perform a concert of worship Sunday at 6 p.m. at Calvary Chapel of Spokane, 511 W. Hastings Road.

The two have been singing songs of praise and God’s love for nearly 30 years together.

Children’s story time

The Lutheran Book Parlor, 1414 W. Broadway Ave., is hosting a summer story time on Thursdays through July 28 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Children ages 4 through 10 are invited. Story times are free, but registration is required.

Extra worship service

Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, 4102 S. Crestline St., is adding a weekly service to its schedule.

On Wednesdays at 7 p.m., the church will include Scripture from the preceding Sunday services through the end of the year.

The church also will offer sign language interpretation and child care.

Spiritual speaker

Amma Sri Karunamayi will discuss meditation Friday at 7 p.m. in Jones Theatre-Daggy Hall on Washington State University’s Pullman campus.

Karunamayi, whose name means “compassionate one,” is devoted to bringing peace and God consciousness to the world.

Vacation Bible school safaris

Northwood Presbyterian Church, 6721 N. Monroe St., will present “Kingdom of the Son: a Prayer Safari” vacation Bible school for children ages 4 through the sixth grade from Sunday through Thursday.

The events will begin Sunday at 5 p.m. with a picnic, games and surprises in the parking lot of the church. Classes will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and dinner will be served.

While the children are in class, adults are invited to attend a class with the Rev. John Bristow, who will discuss “What Paul Really Said About Women.”

The cost is a $1 donation for food.

Fourth Memorial Church, 2000 N. Standard St., is hosting “Kingdom of the Son” vacation Bible school starting Monday and running through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Children in the first through sixth grades are invited to watch skits, make crafts and play games.

Rummage sale

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 223 S. Hallett, Medical Lake, is hosting a rummage sale today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit improvements to the church’s parking area and several outreach programs within the church.
