I offer a modest proposal from the bleachers up here on the South Hill. Recoup the money awarded to the Huskies’ former coach (Rick Neuheisel), to be paid by the NCAA, by eliminating the NCAA college basketball selection committee altogether. Give them the opportunity to spend more time with their families experiencing actual life.

The selection-by-NCAA Committee Replacement Program is self-evident: Team No. 132 plays against Team No. 1, Team No. 131 plays against Team No. 2, etc. Keep the games as close to home as possible, with the court advantage going to the higher-ranked teams. It will all flow smoothly to the last basket, after which we can all flip to see who the best quarterbacks will be in the NFL.
