Indiana Pacer Reggie Miller became the 13th player in NBA history to score 25,000 points Wednesday night.

Miller, who is retiring after the season, entered the game against the San Antonio Spurs needing eight points to join the exclusive club. It didn’t take him long.

He scored six points in the first 5 minutes, 13 seconds, and reached the milestone, appropriately, by making two free throws with 2:08 left in the first quarter.

Miller, 39, trails Jerry West by 192 points for 12th on the all-time scoring list.

The short-handed Pacers went on to beat the Spurs 100-93 at Indianapolis. Miller had 21 points and Austin Croshere added 18.

“It’s a nice accomplishment, obviously, to do it in front of the home crowd,” Miller said. “But more importantly, it keeps us in the playoff hunt.”

Timberwolves 107, Hornets 102: At Minneapolis, Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 13 rebounds to help Minnesota hold off pesky New Orleans. Jamaal Magloire led the Hornets with 20 points and 17 rebounds.

Bulls 94, Raptors 85: At Toronto, rookie Andres Nocioni totaled 10 points and eight rebounds to help Chicago defeat Toronto. Jalen Rose scored 30 points for Toronto, which shot a season-low 32 percent.

Mavericks 109, Warriors 97: At Oakland, Calif., Dirk Nowitzki had 29 points and 10 rebounds, and Keith Van Horn scored 24 points in Dallas’ victory over Golden State. Davis had 22 points and eight assists before fouling out for the Warriors.

Clippers 116, Bucks 108: At Los Angeles, Corey Maggette scored 34 points and the Clippers sent Milwaukee to its seventh straight road loss. Elton Brand had 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers, who nearly squandered a 26-point lead.

Suns 120, Bobcats 105: At Charlotte, N.C., Phoenix jumped all over Charlotte, defeating it for a franchise-record 28th road victory.

76ers 107, Pistons 84: At Philadelphia, Allen Iverson toyed with Detroit’s unusually anemic defense, finishing with 39 points and 10 assists in Philadelphia’s win over the Pistons.

Knicks 107, Celtics 82: At New York, in a game that featured seven technical fouls and a flagrant foul in the first half, New York made one of the NBA’s hottest teams look ordinary in a victory over Boston. Jamal Crawford led the Knicks with 21 points and the Celtics had their most lopsided loss of the season.
